Why it works
Grass‑fed tallow contains fatty acids similar to those naturally present in healthy skin. These lipids help support hydration, strengthen the skin barrier and reduce moisture loss.
Rose hip oil is naturally high in linoleic acid and lower in oleic acid, helping balance the rich protective nature of tallow. This improves absorption while supporting skin comfort and clarity.
Together these ingredients create a lipid structure comparable to the skin’s natural barrier fats such as ceramides and protective lipids.
Beeswax helps seal hydration while allowing the skin to breathe.

Rosehip oil helps carry the tallow into the skin improving absorption and reducing surface heaviness.

Use
Apply a small amount and massage into skin until absorbed. A little goes a long way.
Storage
Because we use no stabilisers or emulsifiers, texture may vary with temperature. This is normal for natural formulations and does not affect performance.

Haven’t used the balm since the ingredients were changed a couple of years ago so wasn’t sure what to expect and have to say I’ve been really impressed with this tallow balm! It’s been brilliant for my dry skin and has noticeably improved the overall texture and quality of my skin. Even some fine lines look softer and the vanilla scent is gorgeous: gentle, comforting, and not overly sweet.
One thing I really appreciate is knowing the tallow is organic and rendered without any harsh chemicals or deodorising agents. It feels clean, simple, and genuinely skin‑friendly. The addition of rosehip oil is a huge plus too — far better than filler oils other tallow products have on their ingredient list, and it gives the balm that extra nourishing boost.
And… just saying… a version with Scottish honey would be absolutely fab (wink).
