FAQs
Can I dry shave or use an electric shaver with it?
No — it’s best used for wet shaving with a traditional razor.
Do I still need conditioner?
Most customers find they don’t, as the bar nourishes hair naturally. If you prefer to use one, choose a natural, SLS-free conditioner. A touch of our Unscented Balm can also help detangle.
Does it contain lye?
Yes — all real soap is made using lye. During saponification, the lye completely reacts with tallow and castor oil, leaving no lye remaining in the final bar. Each batch cures for at least four weeks to achieve a gentle pH of 8-9.
Other uses?
Absolutely — it doubles as a laundry stain stick or natural washing detergent when grated.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes — our unscented version contains no fragrance or essential oils and suits delicate skin. As always, patch-test first.
