Our Unrefined Organic Tallow is a vital source of essential fatty acids.  Rich in Omega 9, Stearic & Palmitic Saturated Fatty Acids. Rich in Oleic Monosaturated Fatty Acids. 2:1 Omega 6:3 Ratio. Organic Unrefined Rose Hip Oil serves as a carrier oil for our Organic Tallow. They work in perfect harmony to deliver the best possible hydration and protection for your skin. Rosehip carries the tallow deeper into the skin. Adding a powerful combination of Vitamin A, E & C.

The Beta Carotene from the Rosehip gives our balms their warm yellow colour. This is a provitamin A carotenoid. This means the body converts it into vitamin A which supports healthy skin and immunity.

It is very absorbent and vanishes into the skin quickly but one does need to give it a minute to absorb.  Please massage into your skin until it vanishes. You will notice the improvements to skin softness, elasticity, and hydration.

None of our products contain any stabilisers, emulsifiers, or preservatives, so this means that the consistency will vary with temperature changes after dispatch. It will melt if too warm and over harden if too cold. Also, it will react to temperature fluctuations such as cold nights/warm days.

Certain fatty acids (like stearic or palmitic) can occasionally form fat crystals because of fluctuations of heating and cooling after transit. It’s naturally occurring, and this should melt out in the palm of your hand before application and won’t detract from the moisturising benefits. If you want to remove this, you will need to recharge the balm:

Put in freezer until balm drops out of the tub. Stir in a small cooking pot until it melts at around 40-50 degrees. Pour back into the tub. When set put in fridge with lid on (1 hr – 50&100g / 2 hrs – 200g). Return to room temperature – ready to use again.

This can also go away if you store the product in a warmer spot for a day to soften the exposed surface.

We also recommend storing the pots at room temperature 13-25 degrees.  Oils separate with gravity, naturally over time.   So, if you are not actively using a pot – please store upside down.

No Beef Smell:

Due to our unique purification method and formulation, despite having a high percentage of tallow our skincare does not smell of beef.

Great Absorption Rate:

Our unique formulation, utilising Organic Rosehip draws our tallow deep into the skin. Hydrating deeper and not leaving a greasy residue on the surface. Our skincare leaves the skin smooth and elastic.

Low Comedogenic Rating:

Many other tallow skincare producers use olive oil and other occlusive carrier oils. These are highly comedogenic like tallow in isolation.  Combining heavy oils can lead to excessive oil production on the skin, further contributing to acne and clogged pores.
