Habitat Creation 2024 – A Six Acre Wildflower Meadow

This November 2024, before the winter storms set in, we managed to get out on the land and sow a large 6-acre Wildflower Meadow.

This large project was supported and overseen by www.devonwildlifetrust.org. All the over-sowing work was done by hand by our staff (DWT) and family. Sheep will graze afterwards to help bed in seed and give the wildflowers the best chance to germinate, flower and then set seed again.

We are very grateful to @devonwildlifetrust for allowing Hayes Meadow Organic to be a donor site. Since the 1930’s we have lost 97% of our Wildflower Meadows.
